Anna Vekova

Kinesitherapist

Anna Vekova is a physiotherapist with almost 20 years of experience. She is conducting a movement planning and therapeutic training for people with neurological and vestibular disorders, with diseases and disabilities of the musculoskeletal system, as well as for those who have undergone limb amputations.

Anna Vekova finalized her bachelor's degree in kinesitherapy in 2006 at Vasil Levski National Academy of Sciences - Sofia. Two years later, she obtained a Master degree in physical activity and health from Maastricht University, the Netherlands. Since October 2017 has been studying to gain a scientific degree "doctor" on the topic "The Impact of Covid restrictions on physical activity and body composition of children in elementary school".

She has many publications, as well as numerous participations in scientific conferences. Vekova was a volunteer at the International Science Institute, where she participated in  development of the experimental design and implementation of the "Combating the Metabolic Syndrome through Physical Activity" (COMPACT) project - the first study of its kind in Bulgaria, investigating the impact of regular physical activity on the metabolic syndrome. She was also a conditioning coach on the project.
