Pediatric Surgery

Departments / Pediatric Surgery

Pediatric surgery focuses on the diagnosis and medical management of conditions requiring surgical intervention in children, from newborns to adolescents. The Pediatric Surgery Practice at our medical center offers expert consultations and clinical evaluations. Should a surgical procedure be required, it is performed in a hospital setting.

When is a consultation with a pediatric surgeon recommended?

  • Presence or suspicion of congenital malformations;

  • Acute abdominal pain, swelling, or other symptoms indicating a surgical condition (e.g., appendicitis, hernia);

  • Skin lesions, cysts, lipomas, or hemangiomas;

  • Wounds or trauma requiring surgical treatment and debridement;

  • Post-traumatic complications, such as infection or impaired healing;

  • Conditions affecting soft tissues and lymph nodes;

  • Genitourinary disorders, such as phimosis, cryptorchidism, or hydrocele.

What a pediatric surgery consultation includes:

  • A detailed interview with parents regarding symptoms, medical history, and the child's development;

  • A thorough physical examination, including palpation and targeted evaluation of the affected area;

  • Referrals for additional diagnostic evaluations if necessary (ultrasound, laboratory tests, or X-rays);

  • Treatment guidelines or, if required, planning for surgical intervention in a hospital setting.

How to prepare for your consultation:

The examination generally does not require special preparation unless specifically instructed by the doctor. Parents are advised to bring all available medical records (e.g., test results, imaging reports, or hospital discharge summaries) related to the child's condition.

Our goal is to deliver professional medical care, accurate diagnosis, and expert treatment guidance for your child, ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort.
