The Breast Care Practice provides preventive and diagnostic examinations for women of all age groups. These exams are the most effective way to protect against breast cancer and other breast conditions. The breast specialist is a certified physician with extensive scientific and clinical experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of breast diseases.
All women over the age of 20 should maintain proper health awareness and be educated in the principles of breast self-examination. A clinical examination is a fundamental diagnostic method and should be performed at least once a year. For high-risk patients, examinations are recommended every 6 to 12 months in addition to other diagnostic imaging methods.
The consultation begins with a discussion of risk factors, current complaints, their onset, and any potential link to events such as breast trauma, gynecological disorders, medication use, or previous breast conditions and surgeries. Patients are advised to bring results from prior examinations and diagnostics. The more information the physician receives, the more accurate the diagnosis will be.
Following the clinical examination, the specialist performs an ultrasound examination. For women under 40 years of age, ultrasound is the primary diagnostic method.
Preventica is the only medical center in Bulgaria equipped with unique technology for breast cancer screening offering up to 99% diagnostic reliability. The Invenia ABUS (Automated Breast Ultrasound System) utilizes 3D ultrasound technology capable of detecting cancer where mammography may not.
