The cardiology office is equipped with a next generation echocardiography device,

it also has a sector for functional diagnostics.

In the cardiology and functional sector, a number of important and

highly specialised studies are performed such as:

  • Cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET); (link to OD)
  • Working ECG sample on a stationary bike;
  • Holter for blood pressure and ECG monitoring;
  • Echocardiography (link to OD)

Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET) measures the functional reserves of the cardiopulmonary system and is recommended for patients actively involved in sports as well as for those who have had COVID-19. It is considered a gold standard in the diagnosis of shortness of breath of unspecified origin and in measuring the level of training of professional athletes.

In addition to a comprehensive assessment of the capabilities of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems to meet the needs of the body, the effect of medical treatment and rehabilitation programs in various diseases can be objectively measured through CPET.
