Dr Katrin Lukanova graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 2017.
From 2018 to 2023, she practised at the University Hospital "Tsaritsa Yoanna – ISUL", obtaining her specialisation in ophthalmology in December 2022. Since 2023, she has been part of the medical team at the University Emergency Hospital "N.I. Pirogov.
Dr Lukanova specialises in diagnosing and treating anterior and posterior segment eye diseases using conservative methods, laser therapy and surgery. She places particular emphasis on retinal conditions, including degenerative, vascular, inflammatory, traumatic and oncological diseases.
She regularly participates in scientific congresses, symposia and conferences and has authored publications on the intravitreal application of anti-VEGF agents, the treatment of dry eye syndrome and primary open-angle glaucoma.
