Dr. Krasen Ivanov obtained a Master's Degree in Medicine from the Medical University of Varna and in 2015 started his practice at Tokuda Hospital. After an excellent performance at his exam in 2019, he obtained a specialty in Gastroenterology. He did an internship in internal medicine in Moscow, at the First Moscow State Medical University. Dr. Ivanov has participated in training courses and has presented scientific posters and presentations at Bulgarian and European congresses in Rome, Vienna, Barcelona, Prague, and Zagreb.
Dr. Krasen Ivanov's scientific interests are in several areas of gastroenterology: hepatology, ascites, peritoneal ports for malignant ascites drainage. He is also working on the problems of non-alcoholic steatosis of the liver. He has experience in abdominal ultrasound, percutaneous interventions under ultrasound and X-ray control, treatment of liver tumours and percutaneous tumour ablation.
In 2021, on the Day of the Bulgarian Doctor, Dr. Ivanov was awarded by the Bulgarian Medical Association in the category "You are our future”.
